Super Ping was made within a bespoke C++ framework at university for a low-level programming unit. The ball and paddle sprites were provided, but I edited them both and created my own sprites in Photoshop for the game and it's power-ups, and such.
This is Pong, but with power-ups! There are 5 power-ups you can use, but you must have enough AP (Angle Points) to use them. Gain AP by bouncing the ball on your paddle. The greater the angle (the closer to the top/bottom-most edges), the more AP you will gain.
Play versus an AI in 1-player mode, or against a friend joining you on the keyboard in 2-player mode. Player 1 uses WASD, and player 2 uses the arrow keys, playing as the left and right paddle respectively.
Get the ball past the opponent's paddle to score points, with the first to 7 the winner!
Fast Ball - Makes the ball move faster until it is hit by a player.
Heavy Ball - Makes it so that the ball can only be hit with the middle of the paddle, not the top/bottom-most edges
Lightning Ball - Reflects the angle the ball it moving vertically, zigzagging like a lightning bolt
Wall - Places a wall in front of the enemy that bounces the ball back once before disappearing again.
Invincibility - Ensures you hit the ball back, even if your paddle is no-where near the ball once.
