This system enables users to experience the realistic weight of wielding a quarterstaff via a full physics system built within Unity. With interchangeable grip holds, including a loose grip for repositioning hands, the user has complete control for performing a wide range of traditional combat styles.
Hi! My name is Conrad Wilson and I'm a 26-year-old Game Developer based in Bristol, UK. I am a passion-driven individual with a great interest in VR and AR technology.
After completing a Bachelor’s and a Master’s in Commercial Games Development with top marks, I rolled straight into industry working for a small Indie company. Here, I have worked on supporting, extending, and porting client projects across PC, Mobile, and console platforms, as well as multiple original IP titles.
In my spare time, I am developing my own suite of VR tools for various unannounced projects, whilst working throughout the week for The Polygon Loft on various porting and original IP projects.
Skills & Experience
Throughout my career thus far, I have provided extensive gameplay implementation, several major reworks of codebases, and bug-fixing support in high density environments to bring multiple titles through to release. As a Senior, I have also assisted production teams with triage and delegation, working closely with designers, producers, and artists alike to meet deadlines. An expert of the Unity game engine, I have programming and implementation experience with online multiplayer, editor tooling, UX/UI, optimisation, and so much more.
I have developed a range of applications that cover VR, AR, 2D arcade, online multiplayer, WebGL, and simulations. I also have strong C++ skills through development with the DirectX 11 API and my own custom ECS-based engines made within various programming languages, which were developed as part of an internship program. I've also dabbled with Python whilst creating image recognition and image generation neural network AIs, along with other smaller utility programs.
